Bagan on sightseeing outline

Bagan on Sightseeing outline, Myanmar.
Bagan on 1st day
After check in at the hotel we are off on our sightseeing tour of one of Asia's most popular archeological destination. We will visit colorful BAGAN market and visit some of BAGANS most famous pagodas, including SHWEZIGON PAGODA, a prototype of later Myanmar stupas; GUBYAUKGYI, a 13th century ‘cave temple with interesting fine frescoes of scenes from the jatakas; and ANANDA PAGODA, one of the finest, largest and best preserved in Old BAGAN.
Return to the hotel for a rest before our afternoon visit to a lacquerware factory. We will also visit DHAMMAYANGYI PAHTO, a massive later period temple with the finest brickwork in BAGAN. As the sun goes down we will be at one of the ideal viewing sites selected by our tour guide. Overnight at ( ) Hotel.

Bgn 2nd day
The sightseeing highlights include a visit to KYAUKGU UMIN temple, which is an interesting rock cave tunnel, and Nagayon, an elegant and well preserved temple containing many Buddhas, the main one which is twice life size and shelters under the hood of a huge serpent. Other visits include GUBYANKGYI, in the old BAGAN village of MYINKABA, which is an early period temple with well preserved paintings inside; and Mingalazedi, the very last of the Late period monuments built before the kingdom’s decline. Overnight at ( ) Hotel.

Popa and Bgn
Morning drive to Mt.Popa which rose from the ground in a massive earthquake in 442 BC. Mt. Popa is famous as the abode of the Nats (Spirit Gods) and for its panoramic view of the local tropical region. On the way back to BAGAN we can visit a toddy palm juice production plant.
In the afternoon we continue our sightseeing with visits to BAGANS unique pagodas, including Nagayon, an elegant and well preserved temple containing many Buddhas, the main one which is twice life size and shelters under the hood of a huge serpent. We will also see ABEYADANA PAHTO, of which the primary interest is the fine frescos; and NANPAYA, probably Bagan’s first gu-style shrine. Among others, we also see MINGALAZEDI, the very last of the Late period monuments built before the kingdom’s decline.

(OPTION) As the day wanes we will be at BUPAYA, a Pyu-style stupa which is located right on the banks of the Ayeyawady river and from where we begin a scenic boat ride ending at LAWKANANDA PAGAODA, a riverside stupa rich in history and where the sunset views are excellent. Overnight at ( ) Hotel.

Popa/Sale
Drive to Salay, which developed as Bagan’s influence moved southward along the Ayeyarwaddy River. Among the Burmese it’s most famous as the historic home of Salay U Ponya, a BAGAN-era writer/ poet.

Yangon Zoological Garden has been inaugurated since 1906. Nowadays, it has an area of 69.25 acres. It is a World class zoo where one may observe a collection of animals habitat to Myanmar as well as the World over. There are 59 species of animals, 63 species of birds, 17 species of reptiles on the fauna side. On the flora side, there are over 15,000 trees and plants.
Yangon Zoological Garden is opened daily. On weekends and public holidays, special animal shows are featured to entertain the visiting public.

INLE LAKE, Myanmar


LocationThis vast lake is located in the heart of Shan State which shares borders with Thai & Laos. And it climbs up to over 900 metres above sea level and outrageously beautiful. Inle Lake is located in the mountains so it is cooler than other areas. More than 30 hill tribes are living in the mountains.
This vast picturesque lake, 900 metres above sea-level, is one of the main tourist attractions in Myanmar. The lake, 22 km long and 10 km across, has a population of some 150,000, many of whom live on floating islands of vegetation. Inle Lake, natural and unpolluted, is famous for its scenic beauty and the unique leg-rowing of the Inthas, the native lake dwellers.

Amazing Myanmar Land


You may have been hearing a lot about Myanmar or Burma in the news as the person on ground I can assure you with complete confidence that despite the political and economic problems the country faces; it remains one of the safest destinations in terms of personal security in the world.
